Time to Weigh in on the Urban Growth Boundary

Please consider giving your opinion on what Novato needs to do with regard to the Urban Growth Boundary that is set to expire in 2017.

If you read the white paper attached to the issue it explains, among other issues, that the current UGB has an exception for the development of Affordable Housing.

"The UGB initiative goes on to establish the circumstances under which the UGB may be
amended by the City Council. The following is a summary of these circumstances:
a) Under limited circumstances, up to 10 total acres annually of land immediately
adjacent to existing comparable developed areas for the provision of housing to
serve all economic segments of the community."
