Novato Burglary Suspects Get Early Wakeup Call

Police say they found two Marin County men sleeping in a car that was reported stolen out of San Rafael.

Two Marin County men were arrested early this morning by police in Novato who say the suspects were found sleeping in a stolen vehicle.

Two officers patrolling Sunset Parkway approached a vehicle that they say appeared to be suspicious at about 3:00 a.m. Police say the vehicle was reported stolen out of San Rafael. Police found burglary tools inside the vehicle.

Francisco Moreno, 21 of San Rafael, and Victor Sanchez, 22 of Novato, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and possessing stolen property. Both suspects are on probation.

Moreno and Sanchez were booked into Marin County Jail.
