Words & Music at Marin School of the Arts

MSA's award-winning Theatre Department presents Words & Music, an evening featuring songs, scenes, and monologues featuring music by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein, Stephen Sondheim, Brian Yorkey, and more.

A one act version of Friedrich Schiller's play Mary Stuart is also featured, portraying the dramatic final events of the imprisoned Queen of Scots, as her very existence poses a threat, both personal and political, to her Protestant cousin, Elizabeth I. As Elizabeth hesitates over decreeing her rival’s fate, Mary pleads for a face-to-face meeting – but in the swirl of intrigue that surrounds both women, whom can either one trust?

Words & Music performs Friday and Saturday evenings Jan. 24–25 at 7 pm with a matinee on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2:pm. Tickets  can be purchased from Brown Paper Tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com or by calling (800) 838-3006. Admission is $5 for students and seniors, $15 reserved, or $10 general seating.
