Erin McGinnis, Neighbor

Erin is a Bay Area native and seven-year Novato resident. She is married to Kevin McGinnis, a Marin County Realtor. They have three young children, Sean, Regan and Kelly.

Erin grew up in Lafayette, CA. She graduated from Cal (go Bears!) in 1997 and then earned a Masters Degree in Journalism, also from UC Berkeley. Erin spent the first year of her TV news career in Redding and Chico, where she was a reporter and morning anchor. She then returned to the Bay Area and was a news writer and reporter at KTVU-Channel 2.

These days, Erin stays busy writing the Inside Hamilton column for Novato Patch. She also holds a real estate license and works on her husband's real estate team. She is co-owner of a home staging business and serves on the board of the Novato Mothers Club.
