I am a full-time instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College residing in Novato and preparing soon to retire from education.   Currently, I am the president of Soroptimist International of Novato, whose mission is to help improve the lives of women and girls.  We mainly have fun raising money and then deciding on how to disburse it to best meet our mission.

Soroptimist members also produce "Sounding Board," a weekly television program on NPAT (Novato Public Access Television).

I have worked for over a year with the Buck Institute folks to put together the first annual North Bay Area Science Festival to get kids excited about careers in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) which was held at Infineon Raceway on November 5, 2011, with over 4,000 visitors.
