The trail is only about a mile long, but it's fairly steep at the start. At the halfway point, there's a fanastic view of Hamilton Landing (the hangars) and San Francisco Bay with the city and Mount Diablo in the distance. At the turnaround spot, there are plaques with information about Hamilton Field's history and the wetland restoration effort and views of San Pablo Bay and the Sonoma County hills. There are a few benches that are perfect for a breather or some secluded reading.
