Of course the survey showed improvement. These people get paid more than any other county for theRead More same jobs.

“One of the most effective ways to measure our progress is to ask our own employees howRead More we’re doing,” Peterson said. One of the most effective ways to measure your progress towards what, what your employees think? These people work in one of the nicest places on earth. And they have government jobs that provide benefits few others have like retirement. If they don't like their jobs let them leave. But few leave don't they.

Wow! Talk about Brown-Obama-Democrat Cronyism. Not only can the system be built and installed forRead More less than $500/node, it already has. I helped with one of the nodes with-in the past four years. The system (requiring less than 25 sq.ft. (donated) can be set up similar to a Home WiFi Security Cam with FTP access. Really it can be automatically monitored and maintained for free through a cooperating University. This is merely a $16 million a year hornswoggle going into the crony's pocket. Its dirtier than greedy profit. All that, lying cheating and stealing on top of it. Republicans in office don't deserve to be there because they do not study and know about the communities they represent or what they have already (and recently) funded. They are not doing their jobs in a two party system. Having formerly worked for the DNC the only thing good I can say about democrats is they at least learn their constituencies well enough to manipulate them.

The City Council has not allowed public input and they have no plan to allow input--they areRead More proceeding with the Gargantuan 24000 passenger capacity and the City Manager--who doesn't know what the capacity is and who doesn't care what the capacity is--- is paid to "Manage" whatever the Council sends his way. Dave: These are the county's own assumptions. I always start with information from local sources. MyRead More own observation is that traffic has gotten worse in the past thirty years and nothing we are currently doing is making a sufficient dent in the problem. It doesn't mean that there isn't incoming traffic from outside Marin, it means that the majority of the problem starts inside Marin and a whopping 25% is people taking children to and from schools. Would you agree that bringing jobs closer to people's homes and providing transportation that is less polluting are both better ways to reduce CO2 emissions?

Well I think the county assessor try's to stay below the actual numbers to avoid being deluged byRead More homeowners refuting his claims. You can check Zillow and Radfin website for a check on which way and how much. The "actual" value of you home will not be known until you decide to sell it. The estimated value is based on comps near you. Very difficult for the county to hoodwink you--they do that better at the voting polls--like in how many parcel tax's are you paying and what is your sales tax---you and your fellow citizen voted those in--because you were hoodwinked--and there is more to come in Novato--watch for an extension of measure "F" sales tax to become semi permanent---! It seems all a politician has to do is say Fire/Police/School and the voters role over and say --charge me--I love it!

Note that this law would NOT have stopped the Isla Vista shooting because the parents did NOT callRead More the local mental health agency as well as the police. Note that by failing to check the California gun registry - available in every patrol car - they would not have even considered issuing such an order because they didn't think there were any firearms in the area - and neither did his parents, apparently. The taxi industry must be screaming to the heavens about these companies. They can't standRead More competition. Uber and Lyft will ultimately prevail. nobody seems to care do they? Why bother with a few select facts huh? Frankly I don't care what theyRead More put on stamps. Time we all must tell our elected officials (congress) to cut the postal service loose once and for all and let them then succeed or fail as a stand alone business.
