Las Guitarras Restaurant

415-892-3171

Listing Manager: Lisa Garcia

One of Novato's authentic Mexican restaurants, Las Guitarras is the second location of a dining establishment that originally opened in Cotati. The restaurant is one block north of the Grant Avenue in Old Town and features a large patio with a decorative fountain and about a dozen small dining tables, making it a downtown destination spot during nice weather. Family-owned and operated for 28 years, Las Guitarras continues to offer the same excellent taste that has made it a Novato staple. Active in community affairs, Las Guitarras is a favorite destination for birthday dinners, anniversary parties and business brunches. Las Guitarras also hosts a number of special gatherings on holidays, including a large fiesta during Cinco de Mayo.

Great food, but the service is not up to par.

We have been going to Las Guitarras since it opened - stood in line for hours - but it was worth it then and remains so. I remember the struggles with the City of Novato over parking - imagine that the City hassling someone who wants to start a business.

We have seen at least two generations of family grow up and now work in the restaurant and cried with them when a family member passed.

Good food, fun folks makes this an enjoyable dining experience.

Dear John, Thank you for your kind words and sharing the ear
