Week Ahead: Mushroom Hike, Hanukkah and a Winter Concert

Are you or someone you know recently divorced? If so, you may be interested in checking out a divorce group for men led by Daniel Sloan Brown, a Novato psychotherapist. 

The weekly group is an opportunity for men to open to the grief of divorce, moving beyond pain and finding pathways to reconnect with love, energy, and purpose.  Tuesdays 7pm. 505 San Marin Drive.

On Wednesday, join Chabad of Novato as the group marks the eighth night of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, at Whole Foods. Enjoy latkes, jelly doughnuts, an olive press workshop for children, music and even a fire juggling show. 5pm. Free.

Also on Wednesday, the Marin School of the Arts kicks off its Winter Concert Series, featuring a different program each night. On December 4 soak up some chamber music, with performances by the MSA Concert Choir and Treble Choir. On Thursday, the group puts on a winter jazz concert and on Friday a classical concert. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Do you love mushrooms? If so, you’ll want to try to attend an educational six mile hike to Indian Tree preserve. Learn about the amazing array of mushrooms that grow in the area and get some fresh air. A Walk is for ages 15 and up.
