Nominations Open for Marin Women's Hall of Fame

Deadline is Nov. 1 to recommend candidates.

Who are our all-time greats? The Marin Women's Hall of Fame invites the public to submit nominations that highlight the outstanding achievements of women leaders. Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee and those identified as new honorees will be inducted at the Annual Gala Tribute Dinner and Awards Ceremony.

In spring 2013, Marin Women's Hall of Fame, the Center For Excellence, will host its 25th anniversary year celebration. Fiscal year, 2012-2013, has been proclaimed by the organization as "The Year of Women Leaders."

Since 1987, MWHF has recorded honoree biographies and photographed their portraits for posterity and videotaped interviews for broadcast on local public access television as part of the longest running oral history project in the county. To date, 116 women have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. These women leaders are featured throughout the year at special events, HALO dinners and recognized as positive role models in the organization’s mentoring and leadership development program, "TEENS & LEADERS CONNECT."
