Huge wind gusts nearly blew down the temporary party tent attached to Novato City Hall during the Paint the Town Red event Friday night. And I'm not talking about the talkative people who shared the microphone on stage (kidding!).
Despite a blustery and wet evening outside, the warmth exuded by the Paint the Town Red volunteers was enough to keep things toasty. Dennis Hagerty was named Novato Citizen of the Year, several businesses (Circle Bank, Hennessy Funds and Barker Pacific Group) were given top annual honors by the Novato Chamber of Commerce and funds were raised for School Fuel, the nonprofit that supports public schools in Novato.
