An Essay Dedicated to a Fallen Sister

Tori Augusto lost her sister, Kimberly — Kimi — last year in a on Highway 101 just north of Novato. Both girls are grads and were standout performing artists during their days there. Kimi's death sparked a long period of mourning in the San Marin community.

Now, Tori is a student at Solano Community College, living in Fairfield and applying for a scholarship that will be awarded based on popular votes. Read her answer to the question, "What is the most important lesson you have learned in your life?"
