The Evolution of Humor

Just a comment on what I have observed as a change in peoples behavior.

Has anyone else noticed that — probably in the last several years — the way people communicate with one another in person has changed dramatically? I am talking about when people, who may or may not know one another, meet somewhere, e.g. on the street, in the grocery store, in a bar or restaurant, wherever; and immediately one will say something to the other person, and then laugh.

Now, unless I am nuts, it used to be that when people were having a discussion, and someone said something funny, then only the others listening would laugh ... if, of course, they thought what the person had said was funny.

Things have changed dramatically. Ha ha. Do you understand what I just said? Ha ha ha.
