School Fuel’s Largest Annual Fundraiser Seeks Business Sponsorship

The Novato Foundation for Public Education, School Fuel, is excited to announce that Tour of Novato and FunFair will be held Saturday, May 4th, 2013. The fundraiser for Novato’s schools will be held again this year on Sherman Ave., next to Novato City Hall.

The event will feature educational games, Showcase performances by Novato Unified School District students, inflatables as well as walks in downtown Novato and various rides throughout the city and rural roads of West Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties.   

This event has attracted hundreds of local walkers, riders, and donors each year, with $100,000 for Novato schools raised in 2012, and over $400,000 raised since inception four years ago. 

Tour of Novato and FunFair would not have been successful without our generous business sponsors who have supported us each year. We are asking our business leaders to continue their support of our local schools and sponsor Tour of Novato again in 2013. 

As we all know, good schools help build strong, healthy community, which in turn strengthens local business and professional community; and the reverse is true. 

Tour of Novato & FunFair sponsorship and benefit levels start at just $250 for a booth where businesses can host an educational game at the FunFair. For $500 a sponsor can be listed on the t-Shirt plus and other benefits as well. Higher sponsorship amounts feature additional opportunities, including a link to the sponsor’s website on tourofnovato.org.

Donations also apply to the business’ overall Partner in Education Program with School Fuel.    

Downtown Novato businesses can also participate in the 5K walk through downtown Novato, which gives businesses exposure to the large school community.  A $50 Passport level donation is required for the business to be listed on the walker’s passport. Walkers will stop by each business on the walk in order to win prizes at the end of the tour.

About School Fuel:  School Fuel is the local education foundation for the Novato Public schools. School Fuel has contributed over $1.5 million to the Novato schools since it was founded in 2003.
