Petaluma National is going strong at the Little League World Series and will again play Thursday afternoon, but the city of Petaluma just couldn't wait to plan a welcome-home celebration no matter what happens from here on out.
A parade will kick off at 1 p.m. Sept. 2 at Walnut Park, wind down Kentucky Street then turn right on East Washington and return via Petaluma Boulevard.
The Nationals have won three of their four games at the World Series and play again at 5 p.m. Thursday. The tournament ends Aug. 26.
If you want to catch Thursday's game with a fun crowd, head down to Boulevard Cinemas in Petaluma's Theater Square for a pre-game party where you can pick up a Petaluma National hat, T-shirt or one-of-a kind rally towel.
There will also be a raffle with all proceeds going to the Uganda Little League team who Petaluma players have befriended during their stay in Williamsport, Pa. If you are a business and would like to donate a prize for the raffle, contact Petaluma National Little League President Anthony Lackey at 415-806-1324 or firstname.lastname@example.org
