Did you know, according to National Association of Realtors, one home sale generates $60,000 into our economy? How about in Novato and in Marin County? Property taxes, documentary transfer taxes, home owner transfer fees, attorneys, window washers, realtor and mortgage brokers, plumbers, gardeners, home inspectors, electricians, florists — well the list goes on. They all add silver and gold to our coffers.

Did you know that in Novato, we have a seller’s market? That’s right. Right now, 42.5 percent of all homes on the market are pending. Out of 192 houses on the market, 69 are distressed properties. Buyers are taking advantage of lower home prices and the best mortgage rates since 1951.

Smart sellers aren’t waiting for 10 more years to catch up to former appreciation. Home inventory is way down. Some sellers know the law of supply and demand. Sellers who sell now will get current top of market prices.
