Novato long-timers might remember when the Olympic torch was carried through town in 1984 before the Games took place in Los Angeles.
Dick Steinbach does. He shot this photo in the middle of the night when the procession rolled through town.
"We had taken the kids and our beat-up motorhome down to Nave Drive next to the big rock formation at the north end of Hamilton Air Force Base," he said. "I think the torch came through around 2 a.m."
