Attention bicyclists! Registration for San Rafael's Twilight Criterium opens on Wednesday.
Hundreds of Lycra-clad cyclists will take over the city streets on July 7 as the city hosts the 14th annual evening bike race. The event "has become part carnival, part madhouse, part Thunderdome," its website says.
The 1-kilometer course around the downtown area begins and finishes on Fourth Street while running clockwise on Fourth, D, Fifth and A streets.
Registration will open on June 13 and the deadline to enter is July 5 at 5:30 p.m.
Last year, Ricardo Escuela took home the prize for first place.
