Famed baseball manager Tony La Russa is coming to Petaluma to promote his new book “One Last Strike.”
La Russa, the winner of four Manager of the Year awards, six pennants and three World Series, will be at Copperfield’s at 7 p.m. Oct. 4. Fans can meet the baseball legend, who lives in the East Bay, and get a copy of the book signed.
A signing pass is required and will be issued only for books purchased at the Petaluma Copperfield’s.
In his book, La Russa chronicles one of the most exciting end-of-season runs in baseball history, and how the St. Louis Cardinals emerged victorious in the 2011 World Series.
"One Last Strike" has been described as “a passionate and insightful look” at our national pastime that goes behind the scenes of a comeback that no one thought possible.. and inside the mind of one of the game's greatest managers.
