Novato's Fangmeier Named Marin's Best in Lacrosse

When the Marin County Athletic League selects its all-league teams in four sports, San Marin's Josh Bernstein grabs first-team boys tennis honors for the second year in a row.

's Dylon Fangmeier was selected as the Player of the Year for boys lacrosse when the Marin County Athletic League named its all-league performers in four sports over the weekend.

Fangmeier, a senior, was one of six Hornets honored after the school's sensational lacrosse season this spring.

Senior teammates and Josh Mosebach were named to the All-MCAL first team, senior Josh Kettellapper and junior Declin Cronon to the second team and junior to the Honorable Mention list.

Andrew Smith, Martin Garcia and Kennedy Clark also were honored in their respective sports.

Smith was named to the all-league second team in boys volleyball, Garcia was an Honorable Mention pick in boys tennis and Clark, just a sophomore, received an Honorable Mention distinction in girls lacrosse.

Eight San Marin athletes were honored, led by two-time first-team all-leaguer in boys tennis and first-teamer Kelsey Diederich in girls lacrosse.

Three teammates joined Diederich among the San Marin girls lacrosse players to earn distinctions. Nicolette and Sophia Mychajluk and Christy Tran were also placed on the Honorable Mention list.

Also grabbing all-league awards for the Mustangs were senior (second team in boys lacrosse), sophomore (Honorable Mention in boys lacrosse) and (Honorable Mention in boys tennis).
