Novato High Gets New AD

Former Hornets soccer coach Jeff Wallace will replace Kelly Morlock, who quit after a year on the job.

Novato High has a new athletic director, the Marin Independent Journal reports.

Jeff Wallace, a former Novato High soccer coach, replaces Kelly Morlock, who resigned her post after just one year, the IJ reports.

Novato principal Rey Mayoral confirmed the personnel moves according to the published report.

"Kelly left it in great shape. She did great things for the program,” Mayoral told the IJ. “With Jeff, what we saw in him was a passion for the job. With this kind of work, you have to be willing to give of your time more than anything else.”

Wallace's hiring is the second major personnel move emerging form the school's athletic department, following longtime football coach Travis Bracket's resignation.

Bracket posted a 120-67 record in 13 years at Novato that included three consecutive unbeaten Marin County Athletic League runs and a state championship berth. He will be replaced by longtime assistant Jason Searle.
