Novato High Football Coach Calls it Quits
Travis Bracket coached the Hornets for 13 years, posting 120-67 record.
Novato High's longtime football coach is calling it quits.
Travis Bracket has stepped down from a position he's held for 13 years, according to a report in the Marin Independent Journal confirmed by the school's principal.
He will be replaced by longtime assistant Jason Searle, the IJ reports.

Bracket is credited with turning around a downtrodden program he took over in 2000. The Hornets were 120-67 under Bracket. They were undefeated in Marin County Athletic Play for three straight years (2006-2008) played in the state bowl game in 2007.
"We're going to miss him," Novato Principal Rey Mayoral told the IJ.

"He did to Novato football what the (former) mayor of New York City, (Rudy) Giuliani, did to New York City. I mean, he brought that program into a program that's second to none and he did great things here. But I feel good about his replacement, Jason Searle."
