Lacrosse Players from Era Gone By Turn Out For Alumni Game

The Novato Lacrosse Club, which dates back 41 years, invites past players to suit up on the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year.

More than 25 alumni from the Novato Lacrosse Club turned out Thanksgiving day for the club's annual alumni event at the San Marin High stadium.

Ryan Larkin, a San Marin grad from 2004, organized the eighth annual event and was pleased that grads from San Marin, Novato and Marin Catholic put on their gear and burned off calories before feasting with family later in the day.

One of the oldest players on the field was San Marin boys lacrosse coach Juan Marquez de la Plata, a 1983 San Marin grad. He was 20 years older than the next oldest players, Brian Bovie and Todd Lehman, who graduated high school in 2003. The youngest players were Max Jaurique and Ryan McCarron, 2010 grads from Novato High and San Marin, respectively.
