  • Basketball program's big fundraiser for the year

In addition, he was an assistant coach in the 1970s, including the 1977 and '78 Novato teams that went a combined 27-1 in the Marin County Athletic League. Aires, a teacher at Novato High, passed away in 2009. He had a heart to give something to the NHS program, and the event is supported by his wife, Eileen Aires.

The alumni game will feature players in the 1970's, '80s, '90s and up to mid-2000s in an exhibition game against the current varsity team. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for students and free for kids under age 5. The Tip Off Dinner begins at 6 p.m. at the , and is $25 per person.
