Crowds Expected at Larkspur Ferry for Giants Home Opener

The San Francisco Giants play their first home game Friday, April 5.

It will be more crowded than usual on the Larkspur Ferry today, April 5, as crowds head to the AT&T Park for the San Francisco Giants' home opener. 

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, sent out a quick tweet today warning travelers to expect crowds on the ferry Friday. The 11:10 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. Larkspur trips and the 4:25 p.m. and 5 p.m. San Francisco trips are expected to be most crowded. 

The Giants game, against the St. Louis Cardinals, is set for 1:35 p.m. Friday, April 5 at AT&T Park. There will also be a pre-game ceremony.

In anticipation for parking issues at the Larkspur Ferry on home game days, additional parking will be available at the Marin Airporter upper parking lot, free on game days. More information is available here

Giants baseball fans can purchase one-way or round-trip Larkspur Ferry tickets for regular season games at www.goldengate.org/giantsferry or over the phone at 1-877-473-4849. They are not available at the Golden Gate Ferry terminals or at the Golden Gate Customer Service Center. Find out more here
