Holiday Spirit Picker Upper! First Annual Festival of the Nativity

Nativity of Christ Greek Orthodox Christian Church is starting a new tradition with caroling, refreshments and a production of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."

This year, on Sunday, Dec. 23, the Nativity of Christ Greek Orthodox Church — “The Christmas Church” — will begin a new tradition, the Festival of the Nativity. An event  that we hope will take root, grow, and flourish with each successive year, one that we hope will include each and every member of the community.

A lighting ceremony on the bell tower courtyard will take place at 5:30 p.m.   All of our neighbors and the public-at-large are invited to attend. We will have the entire courtyard filled with festive trees and outdoor Christmas decorations.

Following the Christmas Church Lighting Ceremony, there will be caroling and refreshments (Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, eggnog and cider), followed by a production of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol by the St. Porphyrius Drama Society of the Dormition Orthodox Church in Santa Rosa at 7 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. Admission to the play is a free-will offering. The event will take place rain or shine.
