LA MICHOACANA: JUST IN TIME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY!
Tomorrow, and just in time for Valentine’s Day, Old Town Novato celebrates the grand opening of another exciting addition to beautiful Grant Avenue; La Michoacana, Natural Ice Cream and Fruit Paletas shop.
Shop owner Teresita Fernandez originates from the small town of Tocumbo, deemed the ice cream capital of Mexico. A third-generation ice cream maker, Fernandez comes from a long line of ice cream enthusiasts and is excited to become a part of our community and share her original home-style recipes with Novato.
Inspired by the foods and flavors of her country, she offers dozens of all-natural traditional flavors made with real fruit and no artificial flavorings, as well as a variety of more exotic flavors. Using Mexican ingredients and spices, Fernandez also adds flare to some more traditional flavors like chocolate and vanilla.

In honor of this celebration, La Michoacana will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4pm tomorrow (Friday, February 14th), and will be distributing FREE SAMPLES, so get there before they run out!
