Summer School for NUSD Construction Team

Summer is the time for major construction at many Novato campuses.

School may out for the summer for students but not for the Novato Unified School District’s construction manager, Dave Ashe. He said his teams are still on campus, using the time to get some approved large-scale projects under way and some sidewalk repairs completed before students return in the fall.

Most of the work is going on at  (K-8), where construction has started on a new blacktop playground with two portables, a gymnasium, and a new administration building with a Nave Drive entrance and parking for the school.

The at Hamilton Meadow Park is a joint project with the city of Novato. Budgeted at more than $4.5 million, the gym and associated school entrance off of Nave Drive is not expected to be completed until the middle of March.
