San Marin Students Organizing Xmas Tree Recycling Program

It's not yet Christmas, but heads up for when you're ready to get rid of your tree.

The San Marin High School's Safe & Sober Grad Night is again holding their Christmas tree recycling program, which raises money for the year-end Safe Grad Night party at the Rolling Hills Club.

You can drop off your tree in the high school's northeast parking lot (the one closest to San Marin Drive and the football field) on Dec. 29, Dec. 30, Dec. 31, Jan. 1, Jan. 5 and Jan. 6. Green trees can be dropped off with a $5 donation or $10 for flocked trees.

Truck drivers and recycling volunteers are needed. If you can spare a few hours in the mornings on any of those dates, you can help by picking up trees from nearby customers who've requested pick-up service. The tree recycling program especially relies on the parents of senior class students to step up because the amount of money raised determines the cost per student for Safe & Sober Grad Night.
