Spirituality and Men with Chade-Meng Tan

Guest Facilitator: Chade-Meng Tan (Meng),  MS in Computer Science, is a Google pioneer, an award-winning engineer, a New York Times bestselling author, a thought leader, and a philanthropist.

Meng will present scientific proof of the benefits of meditation. He will enlighten and entertain us on research from these two areas:

  • Increasing producitivity
  • Improving personal well being

Meng is also Google's Jolly Good Fellow. Meng was one of Google’s earliest engineers. He helped build Google’s first mobile search service, and headed the team that kept a vigilant eye on Google’s search quality. His current job description is, “Enlighten minds, open hearts, create world peace”. Meng is the Founder and (Jolly Good) President of the Tan Teo Charitable Foundation, a small foundation dedicated to promoting Peace, Liberty and Enlightenment in the world. He is a founder of Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI), author of the book Search Inside Yourself, and a founding patron of Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE). He is also a Founding Patron of the World Peace Festival, and adviser to a number of technology start-ups.

Spirituality and Men is a self-development forum for men aiming to explore the spirit of man through informative dialogue, honest interaction and the silence of meditation. They are run by men for men of all backgrounds who are interested in exploring their inner spirit.

These circles meet quarterly and provide men a safe and harmonious opportunity for discussing and sharing ideas and feelings around a variety of topics relevant to the challenges they face in a rapidly changing world. The meetings feature guest speakers followed by an interactive workshop which includes readings, music, silent reflection and guided meditation.
