Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human with Jesse Miller

Free Public Talk, Friday, September 28th, 7:00 p.m.

Shambhala Training is a series of contemplative weekend workshops suited for both beginning and experienced meditators and of benefit to people of any spiritual tradition. The simple and profound technique of mindfulness/awareness meditation is the basis of this secular path.

At Shambhala Training workshops, participants study and practice Shambhala warriorship; a tradition of human bravery and leadership. This path shows how the challenges of daily life are opportunities for both contemplative practice and social action.

Shambhala Training Level I participants are introduced to basic goodness and the practice of meditation in a supportive, social environment. The weekend includes talks by the director, group meditation practice, discussions, and individual meetings with meditation instructors.

Price: $150; $90 for full-time students with student ID; $40 for repeaters. Scholarships are available; no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please refer to ourGenerosity Policy. The Friday night talk is free and open to the public.
