Rainwater Harvesting Workshop

Come explore and apply principles and practices of rainwater harvesting in this participatory workshop. Gain practical experience and resources including:

  • Overview of water in the landscape and our place in the watershed.
  • Multi-functional benefits of rainwater harvesting: decrease and supplement landscape water use, buffer stormwater impacts, store water for later use, and emergency water supply. Have fun and create habitat!
  • Rainwater harvesting components, design, and technology options.
  • Hands-on site assessment and installation activities.

$25 per person. Please bring your own lunch.

Instructor Jeffrey Adams is owner of Terrasophia, an ecological design consulting and education company, was Water Sustainability Coordinator at the Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN) during a year-long Rainwater Harvesting Pilot Program in Marin County, and is residential land steward of Sunrise Ridge Gardens’ 7-acre permaculture farm.
