Our Lady of Loretto School holds week-long celebration of Catholic Schools Weel January 30-February 4

Our Lady of Loretto School will hold a week-long celebration of Catholic Schools Week from Sunday, January 30 through Thursday, February 4.

On Sunday, January 30 the entire student body will  attend 9:00 a.m. mass.  Members of the Student Council will do the readings and the petitions.  From 10:00-11:30 a.m. OLL families as well as parents and prospective students interested in enrolling for the fall semester are invited to visit the classrooms, the Science Lab and the Extended Care facility.  OLL principal Annette Bonanno will answer questions regarding school programs and curriculum.  Teachers will host in each of their classrooms.  Student Council members will serve as tour guides.

On Monday, January 31 FACULTY APPRECIATION DAY-Room Mothers will host a faculty lunch in the Knights Room.  "A Faculty Match Game" will be posted in the school courtyard.

On Tuesday February 1-CLERGY APPRECIATION DAY-A crew from KRON-TV's "Best of the Bay" will be on site from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. filming in all the classes since Our Lady of Loretto has been selected the "Best Private K-8 School in Marin County".  In the afternoon guests from St. Anthony's clergy, the Dominican sisters, and seminarians will speak to all the classes.

On Wednesday, February 2-COMMUNITY APPRECIATION DAY-The OLL Walking Club will host a "Walk to School Day" at 7:30 a.The walk will begin at the Flourchylde Bakery in Old Town Novato.  Bakery owners Kathernie and and Dion Brennan, parents of OLL graduate Max Brennan, will provide special treats for the walkers--A three-year tradition.  Students will give thank  you cards to Grant Avenue businesses as they walk to school.  In the afternoon the students will particpate in a community oriented ourtdoor activity to acknowledge different organizations thats help the Novato community such as the Library,  Police Department, Fire Station, City Hall, Post Office, and the Novato Ommunity Hospital.

On Thursday, February 3-STUDENT APRECIATION DAY- A Student Talent Show will be held in the parish hallfrom 1:00 -3:00 p.m.  Students will be allowed to have a "Free Dress Day":.  A Kindergarten information Night will be held at 7:00 p.m. for prospective parents.
