NBEF Charter School Selects 'Springboard After School;' Executive Director to Speak at Public Meeting

North Bay Educational Foundation (NBEF) will be discussing the selection of Springboard Education to provide extended day after school programs for NBEF’s proposed new PreK – 8th grade Core Knowledge charter school in Novato. Founded in 1987, Springboard provides extended day programming and academic support to students in grades K-8. Dr. Brett Prilik, PhD and former teacher, principal and school administrator, and Executive Director of Springboard, will detail the Springboard After School program at a public meeting to be held September 13, from 6:30 – 8:30pm at the Best Western Novato Oaks Hotel (Oak Room). NBEF will also present an overview of the proposed charter school including a detailed look at the Core Knowledge curriculum and grade-by-grade curriculum sequence.

This public meeting is open to any and all interested parents and members of the community. Childcare and Spanish language translation will be available. If possible, attendees are asked to email northbayedu@gmail.com with RSVP in the subject line, noting the number of children requiring childcare. For general attendance, RSVPs are requested for planning purposes only and are not required to attend. For childcare, RSVPs are required due to space restraints and in order to provide adequate supervision.

The meeting will be held Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Best Western Novato Oaks Hotel in the Oak Room. The hotel is located at 215 Alameda del Prado, behind Burger King and next to Wild Fox in Ignacio.
