Making the Case for Christianity - An Exploration of the Christian Faith

This adult class is offered at 9:30 - 11:00 am and at 7:00 - 8:30 pm on Mondays beginning on 2/7/2011 and ending on 4/18/2011. No class will be held on 2/21/2011.

Course concept: Peter writes, "Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you: (I Peter 3:15). This course is designed to help you make an intelligent defense of your faith in Jesus Christ. It will provide chrsitians with a reasoned understanding of the faith we may use in our discussions with our unchurched friends. The class will also increase your understanding of the Christian faith.

Some Course Topics:

Hasn't science disproved the Bible?

Is it possible there is only one true religion?

Is the Bible a trustworthy soure for our knowledge of Jesus?

Mere Christianity by CS Lewis and Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism by Timothy Keller

The Instructor:

Kent A. Webber has served for the past 15 years as Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Novato. He earned degrees from UC Santa Cruz (B.A. with Honors in Religious studes), Fuller Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), and San Francisco Theological Seminary (Doctor of Ministry). He is a student of the Bible and wants to grow in his ability to articulate his faith in Christ.
