Students in need of community service hours, here's a great opportunity to make a difference in your community, help the environment and have fun!

We are hosting two days of cleanup because of the large area (over 6 miles of creek and bay shoreline) and large amount of trash and debris.

Sunday Sept. 16th – 9:00 AM –2:00PM
Where: Meet at the BMK Community Center Parking Lot- 4 Montego Key at 9:00 AM. Areas in need of clean up include BMK V Bay front, Novato Creek, Pacheco Pond and along BMK shorefront.

What To Bring:
You can bring you own refillable water bottles, work gloves, hats/ sunscreen, tick repellant, we’ll supply water, snacks, bags/ buckets, trash grabbers etc. Wear boots or old shoes that may get wet, long sleeve shirts, long pants.

This is historically one of the largest volunteer events in the state with tons of trash cleaned up from our beaches, creeks and waterways. The area along the Hamilton Wetlands Restoration Bay Shoreline has never been cleaned up, so here’s your opportunity to make a big difference. Thanks to the CA State Coastal Conservancy and Marin County for supporting the cleanup efforts.

If you are not up for the actual hiking/ trash collection, we can also use help with sorting and inventory of trash collected for recycling at our collection points. Everyone is welcome!

If you can’t make the date, but would like to help in September or to rsvp as a volunteer or volunteer group, or for more information, please email Site Captains- Sue Lattanzio at suelattanzio@gmail.com  (415-710-4787) or Tom Gandesbery at tgandesbery@scc.ca.gov, (510) 653-2901/
