Fair Housing Law & Practice Seminar

Housing Providers are invited to attend “Fair Housing Law and Practice,” a seminar for the rental housing industry presented by Fair Housing of Marin. The seminar will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Novato Oaks Inn (Oaks room), 215 Alameda del Prado, Novato, CA.
 
The seminar is directed to property owners and managers, on-site apartment managers, real estate professionals, affordable housing staff and other housing providers and it addresses property owners’ rights and responsibilities under federal, state and county fair housing laws, and how to establish policies to ensure equal opportunity and prevent potential legal problems.
 
The fee for the three-hour course is $65.00 per person. “Fair Housing Law and Practice” is approved for 3 hours of continuing education credit, under the category of Fair Housing by the California Department of Real Estate, DRE. (DRE approval does not constitute an endorsement of the views or opinions which are expressed by the course sponsors, instructors, authors or lecturers.)
 
The event is supported by the Marin County Task Force on Housing Discrimination and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and co-sponsored by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, Bay Area Chapter. Pre-registration is required to attend. Please register by September 7. No refunds for cancelations after September 7.
