Audubon Canyon Ranch Science Salon - Extremophiles: Life on the Edge

Join us as we explore the exciting life of ‘Extremophiles’ (organisms that thrive in extreme environments-- too hot, too cold, too deep, too high, too dry or too toxic). The study of extremophiles can inform us about the origins of life on Earth and help guide our search for life elsewhere in the Universe.

Expert speakers from the California Academy of Sciences will be on hand. There will be presentations by Dr. Peter D. Roopnarine, Curator, Department of Invertebrate Zoology and Geology, Dr. David Kavanaugh, Senior Curator, Department of Entomology and Dr. Carol Tang, Director of the Coalition for Science After School.

Purchase tickets by April 12, by contacting RSVP@egret.org or call 415-868-9244. Proceeds support ACR’s education programs, which serve over 6,000 students every year.
