Dash and Dine for the Schools

A 5K/10K Walk/Run for Novato High's Safe & Sober Grad Night is coming up, along with other school fundraisers

The Novato High School’s Safe & Sober Grad Night are sponsoring a 5K/10K walk on St. Patrick’s Day, Sunday, March 17. The race begins and ends in the Hamilton Hangars parking lot between Hangars 3 and 5.

Not much of a runner/walker? No problem. You can still support the cause by dining at Pasta Pomodoro the night before, Saturday, March 16, and 20% of your bill will be donated to Safe & Sober Grad Night. The cost for the run is $30 for the 5K and $50 for the 10K.

Grab your teammates, grab your family or just grab like-minded folks you see on the street and register to walk or run and help support the folks who work toward keeping the Novato High graduates safe and sober. Can’t register in advance? You can register late, at slightly higher costs, at Pasta Pomodoro on the 16th. The registration form and the flier for Pasta Pomodoro have been uploaded.

In the run-up to the run -- pun intended -- there's a barbecue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pini Hardware this Sunday, March 10. Plenty of ways to help the cause!

Other schools have fundraisers coming up as well. This Tuesday, March 12, drop by for a bite at the Left Coast Depot. Mike Garcia and Nicole Archibald Garcia, Olive Elementary parents and owners of Left Coast Depot, are donating proceeds to Olive that day.

On Wednesday, March 20, you can dine all day at California Grill & Rotisserie and support Loma Verde Elementary by putting your receipt in the designated jar. A portion of all proceeds go to the school.

Mark your calendars for the big 2013 Tour of Novato and FunFair, which will take place on Saturday, May 4. All of the schools are putting together their riding and walking teams, so pick one or two or three to support, and support them all by sponsoring a School Fuel team member. Check out the Tour's website for the early scoop.
