Mill Valley residents held a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. Friday at Depot Plaza for the 18 children and six adults who were shot and killed today at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

The vigil was organized by Mill Valley resident Lee Budish.

"As we tuck our children in their beds tonight and prepare for the holidays we need to remember and honor those who have fallen in Connecticut today.....our children, our teachers, our administrators..." she wrote in a mass email asking people to spread the world about the vigil.

Please upload any photos from the vigil, and post any sentiments you would like to share in the comment section.

When will it end? We need to cease the sales of automatic weapons to the public, including AK47's. This all must stop before another individual w/ too many weapons at his disposal goes off the deep end and slaughters more innocent human beings. The NRA must make a stand now, not tomorrow. What happened today in Connecticut must not be repeated any where ever again!

Consider going on the website http://www.demandaplan.org/news and signing the petition, pass it on. Also, consider writing Diane Feinstein and encouraging her very long standing efforts to accomplish tighter gun control. Gun control is a major piece to preventing these tragedies, as is the ability to get mental health treatment for potential perpetrators. I have no idea how to address the mental health issue. Gun control? Seems we should have had tighter gun regulation a long time ago.

Last night at the candlelight vigil a young boy, a Tam Valley student bravely shared his feelings. He said "Twenty kids, just like me were killed today." When will it stop? I urge you to contact local, state representatives, the White House and to join a grass movement for stricter gun control and to spread the word via FaceBook or email. Thank you all for coming last night--it was very powerful.
