A Great Crêpe Escape: Appetizer, Entrée & Dessert Crêpes!

From appetizers to dessert, try my Five-in-One Crepe recipes and quick "how to" video!

Plan a “great crêpe escape” to warm the hearts of friends and family on cold winter nights. This simple five-in-one batter recipe creates sweet and savory crêpes and can be used as an appetizer, entrée or dessert.

To me, there is nothing as versatile or simple with as much “wow factor” as a crêpe. I come from a long line of French-Canadians, so crêpes are in my DNA. For haute cuisine or a simple hot meal, they can be rolled, folded, stacked, filled, laced and even souffléd.

For the Souffle Crepe, a convection oven can make this easy recipe even simpler and fail-proof. The fans circulate the heat for  more flavorful results and an even, golden brown color. When using convection, adjust the baking temperature down 25 degrees for best results as I note in the recipes and video in the link below.

Standards of Excellence Reno, NV
Reno airport with it’s sounds of gambling in the morning was the perfect thing to get me amped and ready for a cooking spree at the Reno Showroom. We cooked the MOST juicy Mustard Pecan Pork Loin of all time, with a lot of help from the KitchenAid Steam Assist Convection Oven. The magic of convection cooking with the power of steam – nothing beats that! The probe was set for 153 ° F and then the pork rested, uncovered for about 15 minutes. The meat cooked more while resting and the juices retreated back in… Yes, it was perfect!

Friday, December 7 – The Crepe Escape – Crepe Making Class

Draeger’s Store in Danville, CA

A few lucky “students” got to try out their crepe-making skills during my Crepe Escape Class at Draeger’s with LeCreuset cookware. Just take a look at this private pilot, proud husband & father and a passionate cook: he’s mastered the art of crepe making! Maybe he can become the new spokes person for LeCreuset?
