Who Should Represent us in Congress? Take Our Poll

Next year, we'll be voting for the retiring Lynn Woolsey's replacement in the House of Representatives. Have you made your decision?

Last week, candidates vying for the 2nd Congressional District seat in 2012 participated in two debates in Petaluma. The person who represents Novato in the U.S. House of Representatives as Lynn Woolsey's replacement will have to tackle tough domestic issues such as economic reform, rising healthcare costs, unemployment, Social Security and the growing divide between the rich and poor. On the international scene, we'll have to find a representative who takes a stance against the wars in the Middle East and America's place in the world financial markets.

The candidates are Susan Adams, Andy Caffrey, William Courtney, Jared Huffman, Stacey Lawson, Daniel Roberts, Tiffany Renee and Norman Solomon.

Check out the video from a recent candidate forum featuring a new candidate in the race, Andy Caffrey, a former Earth First! activist from Mendocino who spent five years homeless. Another candidate we haven't heard from until now is Daniel Roberts, a Vietnam vet and investment company president who is running as a Republican.
