Voluntary Alternative Redevelopment Program Before the City Council on Thursday.

No city council meeting tonight. Last regular meeting adjourned to Thursday, August 11. Council will be looking at the recommended actions to preserve the city's redevelopment agency.

The Adjourned City Council Meeting will be held Thursday, August 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Novato City Hall. 

On the agenda, city staff will be presenting recommended actions to preserve the redevelopment agency including:

  1. Opt-in to the Voluntary Alternative Redevelopment Program in order to continue the Novato Redevelopment Agency;
  2. Modify the parameters of the Vintage Oaks redevelopment area through a SB 211 amendment, and;
  3. Approve Remittance Agreement committing the City of Novato to make payments to the County Auditor-Control from Agency funds transferred to the City, and associated loan agreements between the City and the Redevelopment Agency for the remittance payments.

Also on the agenda, the council will be considering the recommendation to award a project contract to NexLevel Information Technology, Inc. for the development of a 5-year IT/GIS Strategic Plan. If approved, the city manager would execute an agreement with the company for time and materials not to exceed $34,380.
