Raise Your Hand and Serve on a City Committee

Novato needs some volunteers to assist city staff and the Novato City Council with steering the direction of this ship.

Are you ready to get involved? You can make a huge difference by volunteering to serve on one of the City of Novato's boards and commissions.

There are seats open on a number of bodies that support the Novato City Council and city staff, and the application period is open until Aug. 13.

Members of these boards offer a variety of opportunities for citizens to assist with city government. It’s a great way to become involved and make a difference in the community.

The Novato City Council currently has seats on its boards and commissions whose terms will expire on Sept. 1. There are also some existing vacancies that need to be filled.

There are openings on the following bodies:

  • Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee
  • Design Review Commission
  • Economic Development Commission
  • Measure F Oversight/Citizens Finance Advisory Committee
  • Planning Commission
  • Police Advisory & Review Board
  • Recreation Cultural and Community Services Advisory Commission
  • Street Improvement Oversight Committee
  • Streetscape Maintenance Coalition Advisory Committee

Interested? Contact the City Clerk’s office at 899-8900 or download an application here. Be sure to get the application in by 5 p.m. Aug. 13.

All these seats on boards and commissions must be approved by the City Council. If you don't like the way this city is headed - i.e.. - the way of San Bernardino - then they don't want you around. They only want drones to further their mission to drive this city into the toilet.
