Olive Avenue Closure at Hwy 101 Begins Tonight at 8 p.m.

The closure near the overcrossing is so that contractors can remove temporary supports from 101 structure and will result in an Atherton Avenue detour. Work is expected to be completed by Friday at 6 a.m.

Caltrans will temporarily close Olive Avenue at the U.S. 101 overcrossing beginning Wednesday night, March 7 at 8 p.m. and continuing through
Friday, March 9 until 6:00 a.m.

Traffic will be re-routed by way of Atherton Avenue.

Caltrans is advising re-routed traffic on the east side of highway to travel north on Redwood Boulevard, proceed to Atherton Avenue and turn right. Continue on Atherton Avenue and turn right on Armstrong Avenue to Cherry Street, bear left to Chase and follow Chase Street to Olive Avenue.

Traffic on the west side will reverse the above.

Motorists should expect brief delays and proceed with caution through the
construction zone. The closure is necessary so that contractors can remove
temporary supports from the recently widened section of the 101 structure.

All work is weather permitting. Changeable message and directional signs
will be in place.
