Novato City Manager Called Upon to Explain His Role in Local Government
Michael Frank offers his expertise in governance in new video.
When the California City Management Foundation (CCMF) sought out volunteers to explain the role a city manager plays in local government, Novato’s Michael Frank responded.
“I love talking about my work, which also my passion, so it’s easy,” Frank said.
The CCMF is an organization that aims to supports city and town managers, offering guidance and education to support their careers.

The videos, Frank’s is the fourth in a series, are intended to help people understand the role of city managers.
While Frank said he enjoyed the experience, like many people, he dreaded watching himself on film. “Watching myself is like nails on a chalkboard,” he said.
