Measuring Voter Loyalty for Sanitary District Race

If you could cast just one vote in the five-candidate race, who would get it?

We’re in the home stretch during this campaign season, and you know what that means: Those campaign signs will be gone soon.

But it’s more than that. There’s that task of casting our ballots in the Nov. 8 general election.

For those who already voted via absentee ballot, you’re sitting tight and waiting for results. For those who prefer to draw the curtain behind you and fill out the form, there is still time to ponder who will earn your vote.

One of those races is for the Novato Sanitary District. Two seats are open, and incumbents George Quesada and Jean Mariani are up against challengers Suzanne Brown Crow, John Coleman and Jerry Peters.

If you intend to vote but haven’t made up your mind, we encourage you to flip open the voter guide you received in the mail or watch this debate video from the League of Women Voters.

We’ve created a poll — an unscientific one, just for kicks — to see which candidate has the most loyal following among Novato Patch readers. If you had only one vote, who’d get it?

More than anything, just remember to vote on Nov. 8. Thousands have died for our right to cast ballots and preserve democracy in the ol’ U.S. of A. It’s worth a few minutes out of your busy day to have your voice heard.
