Measure F Oversight Committee Meets June 23

Volunteers will recap recent city budget cuts.

Novato's Measure F Oversight/Citizens Finance Committee is slated to meet at 7:30 a.m. June 23 at the city adminstrative offices to discuss the most recently city budget discussion, the future of the city's redevelopment agency, fiscal sustainability and public outreach.

In November 2010, voters approved a half-cent increase in local sales taxes to generate about $3 million per year for the city to maintain services and avoid more personnel cutbacks and facilty closures. The committee was set up to guide city staff on priorities with that tax income.
