Man Pleads Guilty to Ranksacking Black Point Home

In April, "he entered the locked home with the intent to destroy items to awaken the victim's senses so that she would more vigorously fight her cancer."

A man who rented a room in a Black Point home has entered a guilty plea in Marin Superior Court to destroying items in the home back in April, according to a report in the Marin Independent Journal.

Kenneth Stateman additted to smashing a car window, ransacking the home and trying to light a portion of the home on fire, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies were alerted to a man vandalizing a house on Beattie Avenue in unincorporated Novato at 4:15 p.m. April 16, said Sgt. Mark Hale. Stateman, who occupied the downstairs portion of the home, was said to have destroyed and stolen items belonging to two upstairs occupants and broken the window on a car that didn't belong to him.
