Hamilton Paving Work Begins on Friday

Paving is part of the North Marin Water District's recycled water project.

Roadway paving will be taking place in the Hamilton area starting Friday, April 26 as part of Phase 2 of the North Marin Water District’s recycled water project.

Paving equipment will be operating in several locations Friday, starting at the intersection of Hamilton Parkway and Palm Drive and working in a southerly direction to pave over the trenches where new recycled water pipes were laid.

Paving will continue on Hamilton Parkway past South Palm Drive and finish in the area of Amphitheater Park. The section of South Palm Drive between Hamilton Parkway and Hangar Avenue will also be paved Friday.

Also on Friday, April 26 crews will complete a small section of paving on the southern end of Hangar Avenue in the area of Maybeck Street.

On Monday, April 29, paving work will start at the northern end of Hangar Avenue and continue down Hangar Avenue to the southern end of the pipeline section.

Look for another construction update early next week for details of the paving schedule for the remainder of Hamilton Parkway, State Access Road and Main Gate Road.

During paving and other roadway work, there will be times when traffic will be limited to one lane and flaggers will be present to direct traffic in one direction at a time. Please allow for brief delays when driving through construction zones.

Crews will continue work in the coming weeks conducting onsite work with pipeline retrofits and other incidental items.

According to the North Marin Water District, Phase 2 involves installation of nearly 9,000 feet of pipeline that will distribute recycled water to irrigate a variety of locations including Hamilton School, Amphitheater Park, South Hamilton Park and common area landscaping and street medians.
